I have a Maytag Gemini stove I converted to LP 8 years ago (kit came with range). Now I want to sell, but can I convert back to natural gas? I don't see a LP to natural gas kit. Is converting back to gas just removing LP nozzles?
Answer George, you'll need the orifice holders part numbers 7527P023-60, 7527P028-60, 74007961, and 7527P021-60 to convert the stove top burners to NG. You'll need broil orifice part number 74010612 and bake burner tubing parts numbers 74011293 for the upper oven and 7507P395-60 for the lower oven. Flip the pin on the regulator back to NG. Hope this information helps you. Thanks!
I broke an ignitier on my stove (the front right burner), so I replaced it with an new holder/orifice (AP4096730). The flame was too large so switched the orifice to a LPorifice (Part#12002469). I used the green orifice as instructed in the instructions, diagram#C13A. This reduced the flame slightly, but it was still way too orange and tall (~3-4"). So then, per instructions, I adjusted the flame height (instructions Diagram#D4).
This works well while the dial is turned to low (or simmer)-the flame is perfect. However, once I turn up the flame 1/2 way, the flame turns orange and grows dramatically, too much!
The other 3 burners work perfectly, as well as both ovens. How can git rid of the orange flame?
Thanks in advance for your help. - Adam
It may be necessary to adjust the flame more and if this continues to have too high of flame then it may be that the orifice may need to be replaced in which you would need to replace the orifice holder.
