Answer Hello Jim. Check the door gaskets and make sure they are not bad on the unit. Also, make sure there are no places that warm air can enter into the freezer section of the unit.

Answer Hello John. It sounds like you may have a defrost problem with the unit. Check and see if there is any frost build up on the back wall of the freezer. If so, you will need to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. They should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I will include a link at the end to assist you how to use the multi-meter if needed. If both parts are good, you will need to replace the defrost timer. Answer Hello Theoo, I guess it goes without saying that you have a defrost issue. The most likely causes for this on this particular model are the defrost thermostat R0131454, and the electronic control 12566103. The defrost thermostat can be tested for continuity while it is cold. It should read zero resistance while it's cold and no contact when over 50°F. You can sometimes tell that it's bad just from looking at it as the epoxy seems to be pushing out of the metal housing. If this is the case, it is the issue. If it looks and tests good, the issue will be the electronic defrost control 12566103.

Answer Hi Franz. If your freezer fan is turning and there is not any frost on the back freezer wall, then you will need a damper assembly. This part # is 12571701. You can however take the piece off. unplug electrics to the motor and physically open the damper to @ 50% rate. This will insure the fresh food to be cold until you get the replacement part.
