The coil and the back panel of the freezer freeze over with ice causing a air flow problem I don't know if the defrost heater comes on. I defrost the unit and three days later it is frosted over again. The thermostat control that is attached to the coil in the rear of the freezer compartment looks like water or ice has entered the control and pushed the top of the control out . This could be causing the refrig to run constantly but how can I know if the defrost heater is coming on.

Our amana fridge is no longer freezing we have had this problem twice before over a 10yr period. Both times had a tech come out it was a sensor essentially was not telling the blower to send the cold air through the fridge and freezer. I am trying to make sure to get the correct part. Before 2nd time tech coming out I was able to take apart freezer back and get to the part just couldnt remember wich part so had to call them. Would like to avoid that this time?

The freezer works fine but the refrigerator side does not cool Because of no air flow from the freezer. I noticed when I open the freezer door and hold it open the air flows fine and when I close the door it stops. You think replacing the circuit board will fix the problem?
