My once portable now permanent dishwasher was not draining. Purchase new motor/pump replaced that and float switch, still not working. When you turn timer on you get a buzzing sound and then it blows the gfi that it's plugged into. Could that be the timer switch is not working?
The first thing that you want to make sure of is that there was nothing that was dropped into the pump that could be causing it to seize up. If there is nothing in the pump then you will want to replace the timer. Another thing that you will want to take into consideration is that the unit should be on a designated circuit and not on a GFCI.
When door is closed dishwasher continues to run. Will not shut off when dry cycle is complete. Have to keep door open to keep from running. What do I need to correct problem?
Answer Hello Elmore. It sounds like the timer is bad, and will need to be replaced. The timer is what shuts off the unit. If it continues to cycle, the timer is not shutting off. Hope this helps.
