Answer Hello Christie. You line the "D" with the shaft of the knob and press it onto the shaft of the switch in the unit.

Answer Hello Millie, If the new knob has the sleeve in it, the sleeve will have to be removed from the stem to get the new knob on properly. If this is the case, you can get the sleeve off of the stem with a pair of diagonal cutters and something between the pliers and the control panel to prevent any scratches or other damage. If the new knob hasn't got the sleeve in it, it should go on with no problem.

Answer Hello Selling. The knob 7739P122-60 will need to be pull off the unit. You will just pull outward to remove the knob. Hope this helps.
