My washer works fine until it gets to the "cool down rinse" cycle. Then it just stops working (has a small amount of water still in the tub). I've tried to reset it, but it doesn't work. Thank you for your help!
Answer Linda, have you checked and made sure you have good cold water supply to the washer ? The "cool down" cycle applies to the permanent press cycle only and is automatically cold water. The cool down portion of the cycle is limited to 1 or 2 minutes to partially spin, drain and refill with cold water. depending on load size, drain and fill time, the timer can stall in the cycle and act erratic. You should select the regular wash cycle, allow the washer to fill to the highest level, check for hot, warm and cold water fill while the washer is filling. When the washer drains at the end on the wash cycle, it should empty the tub in less than 90 seconds, if the drain pump and hose are OK. When the t9imer reaches the rinse cycle on the control panel, the washer should start to fill again with cold water. If all checks OK on the regular cycle, it's not likely you'll need a timer, but you may need a fill valve if there's no fill in the rinse cycle .
LAT9200BAL / The washer will not fill with water but will go thru other cycles if I turn the thin part of the knob.
Answer Hello Rich,
Check the fuse at the lid switch 22001682. If it opens, there is no neutral to the water valve. Either one of the switches were stuck and when the lid was positioned the other way, the fuse shot, or the water valve is shorted and this shot the fuse. You should check the water inlet valve for a short to ground to prevent the possbility of shooting the new fuse.
