Hello, is there a certain technique I need to use to remove the lamp assembly from the housing? I am having problems, and do not want to pull any wires free from the housing in my efforts. Thanks in advance

Answer Hello Sean, You would just pull down and disconnect wires then reconnect and put back into place.

Trying to open the back cover with Torx tool, but it has NO center hole/ indenture for the 'bellybutton' sticking out of the middle of the fastener. Please confirm that it is a SECURITY Torx, not a Hex fastener. What size am I looking for - some of the sets that say they are Security Torx sets, the T5 and T6 end up NOT being Security. Thanks for any help - have hauled the unit out of the ll three times now, for the wrong tool.

The back of microwave cover has two screws on the bottom which are 6-sided with a middle post. What type of screwdriver do I need? Also, the diagram, from the front of the microwave, shows the lamp bulb on the leftside. When I do take the cover off, will the lamp bulb be on the right or left side? Thank you. Irene

Answer Hello Irene! The screwdriver is a torx screwdriver. The diagram is as you are looking at the appliance straight on so if the lamp is on the left on the diagram it will be on the left on the appliance. Hope this information helps you!

Answer Hello Russ. You will need to remove the outer cover from around the microwave. Once removed, you will see the lamp assembly 8183592 on the right hand side. Remove the assembly from the housing and install the new assembly. Hope this helps.
