I ordered this part for my microwave part # KHHC2090SSS and switched out both bulbs above the stove top and it is still not working. Are they the bulbs? Is there a fuse box I'm suppose to check as well?
Lisa for Model Number KHHC2090SSS microwave
Answer Lisa, You have orderred the correct cooktop lights 8204670, they are a "halogen" bulb and you should not touch the glass with your hands/fingers, use a small cloth or gloves when you change them. They are rated at 12 volts, and the power supply is applied through the "relay board" 8206602,located behind the panel on the right side, front of the machine. The relay board does have a " non repalceable" fuse, if there is no voltage applied to the light sockets, and there are no damaged wires, you will need to replace the relay board. Thanks and Good Luck
Can I use another lamp in place of the indicated lamp? The lamps indicated are pricey and dont last very long.
Ken for Model Number GH6177XPS-3
Answer Hi Ken. You want to be care full in strictly fowling the manufacturers recommended wattage rating or any replacement bulb. You don't want to touch the bulb with your finger tips. These halogen bulbs will last longer if you handle them with a clean cloth rag. If you need the bulb, it is part # 8204670. Thank you.
Can I use a lamp that is 12 volt and 20 watt in the microwave, or will the heat from the lamp burn up the holder.
