The soap dispenser latch will not release the dispenser door to allow the detergent out? What do I need to replace it?

You will want to check the latch kit 676413 to ensure that the latch is not bad. to make sure that it is not bad. Check to make sure that there is not soap build up around the latch assembly.
Hello! I've got a new Whirpool dishwasher, where cover latch doesn't hold the cover of the soap dispenser for some reason. So, the cover of dispenser cannot close. The cover latch number AP3130817 looks very similar to mine. Will it work for my dishwasher model? Will it fix the problem?

Answer Hi Olga. There is a latch kit part # 676413. Kit for soap cup door. Includes detergent latch and snap. The lid spring is part # 8066018. The dispenser completer kit part # 4387043. The complete dispenser part # 8052027. As you are in the inner door /timer area, make sure all mechanisims are timmed correctly. The timer actuator part # 8193646 needs to be together with the timer in the off position. Thank You.
