My washer drain pump had quit working, I have replaced the pump and now the washer will not work, as soon as you turn it on a cycle it flashes e1 f1. The information I have looked at says the door latch or the computer board, any way to narrow it down or reset the board. everything seemed to be working okay until it quit draining.

Machine giving code F22. Door locked and can not open so took of front panel to open door manually. Now still code flash F22 and door will not lock and can not use washer, tried manual diagnostic test but will go back to F22. Can it just be the door latch assembly?

This problem involves a Kenmore HE2Plus front loading washing machine, model 110.47512602. When a cycle is started, the Status lights for Add a Garment and Door Locked are lit. The door is locked, but pressing the Stop button to unlock it doesn't do so. No cycle is run. Only way to unlock the door is to pull on the mechanical release tab inside the cabinet below the door latch. Any idea which parts would likely be bad to cause this?

We have been battling with this for a while now. Long story short, we have replaced the drain pump, CCU, and cold water valve inlet and nothing has worked. Going back to the what was causing the problem is the locking mechanism. The manual for our Whirlpool Duet states that at the onset of a cycle, the door lock "will lock, unlock, and lock again" and this is "normal." Currently, the door locks and gets stuck (no cycle will start) and the door will not open (via restart/add a garment) unless the manual string is pulled. If I unplug the machine and plug it back in fairly quickly, this seems to bypass something where the water fills but this is as far as the machine will advance. Drain pump works because the machine will drain if I change the cycles from hot to cold or vice versa. So the question I have is: is this piece the most likely culprit causing the cycle from occurring? Is there something else that could be causing this that I am overlooking?
