My washer won't turn on or light up what can I do?
You will need to first do a voltage test at the main power supply to make sure that there is power to the outlet. If there is power to the outlet then you will need to take the top off the unit by removing 3 screws at the top back, slide the top to the rear and remove the top. Once the top is off you will find the end of the power cord. This will attach to a noise filter. Test the end of the power cord with the unit plugged in to make sure that there is 120 vac at the power cord to the board. If there is power at the cord where it connects to the board then you will want to check the other side where the lines come off the board to see if there is 120 vac there. If not then the filter board W10367632 is bad and would need to be replaced. If there is power then go to the main control board and test on the if2 pin 1 and if2 pin 2 to see if there is 120 vac there. If there is proper power there then most likely the control board 8182689 is faulty and would need to be replaced.
we replaced the latch on our washer and It still won't lock I hear a series of clicks but not the loud click where the lock engages. the door strike is ok
Answer Connie, Check and loosen the mounting screws on the front panel. You may have over tightenned them and distorted the latch assembly. You'll also want to check the door assembly and front panel, to ensure for a proper alignment for the strike to enter the latch assembly and make sure the door or font panel are not "sprung". You'll also want to conduct the diagnostic and test modes to verify the operation of the machine and control.
My washer will go through all the normal clicks when I turn it on except the loud click that locks the door. Do you know what part I need?
You will want to do a access the tech sheet which is inside unit and run a diagnostic which will tell you what is happening. It may be a faulty door lock or it may be a bad control board.
