Do I need to replace all four leg pads?
Answer Linda, if all four are defective then yes you would need to replace all four. Thanks.
This machine vibrates out of control and will move across the floor when in spin mode. Will the leveling leg pad stop the movement of the machine. The Maytag repairman said "all front load machines do this". They replaced the basket and outer tubs ap4500805, ap3773840 and ap4501003, but it did not seem to help. This was all done under warranty.
Answer Hello Al,
The front load machines exert more pressure on the floor so if the floor can move at all, (spring effect), it will amplify the vibration. Most cases I have seen where the suspension in the machine is in good working order, (shocks and support springs), and the unit is properly leveled, (all four feet having equal amounts of the units' weight on them), and the machine still "walks" is the fault of the floor.
My washer travels across the room when spinning The operation is working. Is this the leveling pad or the legs or both?
Answer Hi Ann. Yes, if your floor is not clean, this will contribute to the pads not gripping the floor at all 4 leg areas. Once the legs been leveled, you need to tighten the lock nuts tight up against the frame to lock them in. The leveling leg pads are part # 210684. Thank you.
