How do you replace the leveling leg on a washer. It has no resistance and appears to be broke.
Answer Hello Jimbo,
If it is the rear leveling leg it is a self adjusting leg and you would pick up back of unit and drop it. If the legs are bad it would take disassembly of unit to replace. If it is the front you would just tilt back and unscrew.
After moving and twisting our washer dryer combo to clean under the machine, it is very unbalanced. One rear leg is stuck down and the other is all the way up and does not move.
Answer Hello Ken,
The ratcheting device that the rear leg is connected to is stuck. This is a common problem that is easily rectified. Simply tilt the unit up on its' front legs and tap on either of the rear legs. The legs will drop to the centered position. At this point, lower the unit straight back down onto the rear legs. This centers the ratcheting device.
Why would the leg levelers not work? Seems to be not leveling no matter how many times I raise the back of the washer.
Answer Hello Pks. Check and make sure the legs 22004469 are not jammed in the bracket and move up and down freely. If so, and they do not adjust, you may need to replace the stabilizer bar 21001881. Hope this helps.
