My machine will not always spin in the spin cycle. It will advance fine to the spin cycle and just click and not spin. Is it the lid switch?

Hello, The machine fills up normally and then stops (no washing cycle). If I move the knob to move ahead to rinse or spin it works. I have already changed the lid switch. I am thinking it is the 60hz timer (the main control knob). What do you think?

Latest Questions

My washer will fill but won't drain or change to any other cycle. I used to be able to get it to change by slamming the lid several times and it would eventually change. Now it won't change at all. It's only about 6 years old. One of the hinges on the lid is now broken so I wonder if that has something to do with or if the timer is broken. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Washer will complete all cycles until it hits rinse. At that point, I have to manually click the knob 1 position and rinse will start. No other issues whatsoever are noticed at this time, other than the manually moving the knob
