Water had stopped on my washing machine. I changed the inlet valve and no luck. I think it may be the lid switch. Only when I set the timer to spin, it spins. When I open the lid during the spin it stops. So my question is can the lid switch work for one and not the other. If not what else could remedy my situation. It stopped flowing water mid cycle.

Latest Questions

Does a defective Lid Switch make the fuse go bad. In your last answer to me you stated that if the fuse was bad that the lid switch needed to be replaced. I did check the fuse and it is bad. I will have to order a new fuse and lid switch. Just asking so I can put all new parts on one order. thank you

I'm pretty handy. How do I find the lid switch in my washer? I have removed the front panel of the machine. I have pulled the washer out from the drier/washer stack. It looks like I might have to remove two hex screws in the front corners and lift the washer top to find the lid switch near the back, behind the tub. Is this right? Thanks very much.
