Neither stove top bulb lights when you turn them on from the control board although it does beep when you press the button. I checked for voltage at the socket and there is none, is this a sign that the Micro computer board is faulty? Every thing else on the microwave works fine.

Answer Hello Tim. Yes, if there is no voltage at the socket, the board may be bad. Check the black wire at the socket to chasis ground and see if 120 volts is there. If so, the board is bad. Hope this helps.

I have an over the range Whirlpool Microwave oven. The light has burned out. I found a bulb that is compatible with the model number, but was wondering, it has a high & low option for the light. Is there 2 bulbs involved, & if so what would the low wattage be? I know the one that is compatible says it is 40 watts.
