The left light socket in refrigerator section appears to have come loose. The bulb no longer lights. It did before after jiggling it, but not now. The right bulb lights fine. Would replacing the light socket fix the problem? Also, how do you remove the old light socket? Thanks much.

Answer Hello Coolinator,
It may not be the light socket that is faulty. Sometimes when putting the light bulbs in you have to turn the bulb tighter than you would expect. There is a stopping point where it feels tight but you have to get past that point because it is not fully tightened.
The bulb broke inside the light socket and shorted out the other light. Will replacing the light socket repair the problem?

Answer Hello Pete. Test and see if there is still power coming to the light socket 1112613. If so, then replacing the socket should repair the problem. If there is no power there, you will need to replace the control board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
