When the washer is in the spin cycle the tub vibrates, but the washer isn't out of balance and it doesn't help to move the clothes around?
Answer Roger, We wouldn't expect the tub bearing or seal to be the issue, not without other complaints and noises. It's more likely that the damper and damper pads have dried out and or worn out, causing the tub to remain in position, instead of transferring the tub movement into the base. One way to check, raise the lid , grasp the top of the agitator and move the tub in various directions, it should move easily, and have no noises or drag. Another way, remove the front panel and check for a gray powdery substance around the center of the base, and the damper pads 203956 sticking out from under the damper assembly 203725.
What is best way of getting the tub-liner off the transmission shaft. I have replacement liner. I need to get old one off. Thank you
Answer Hello Allan. The tub liner should pull off the shaft of the unit. If not, you will need to soak the liner in rust breaker and see if it will pull off after about 30 minutes.
