Answer Paul, You will want to check from the blower wheel all the way to the outside of your home for lint build up and clogging. This would be the most common reason for poor drying performance.

Answer Hi Madison. Remove the control panel back cover. Make sure all of the wires are inserted tight on all switch terminals. If the timer part # 3406725 chatters in operation, then it is also a sign of age. Use a volt/ohm meter part # TJMA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Remove the timer motor winding wires (2 of them) and ohm out the resistance of the windings. Ohm each lead individually to the timer chassis to see if the windings is shorted. This will make the timer to continually advance as well. Reset all the control panel settings as you may have bumped a button and they are stuck in mid position, (Commonly done). Thank You.

Answer Hello Carl, Remove the lint screen completely and remove the two screws where the lint screw is supposed to install. Go to the rear of the unit and unplug it. Remove the exhaust duct and the screws around the rear panel. Remove the front panel and looking to the left you will see a metal piece of ducting that is held in place at the bottom by 4 or 5 screws. Remove these screws and the ducting will be loose in the assembly. You will have to manipulate it to get it out, but it will come out rather easily. Inspect what you need to and the only other precaution I can give, when you get back to the part of the reassembly, Be extremely careful not to drop those two screws. If you drop them down it the duct, you will have to re-disassemble what you just reassembled to retrieve the screw. Wear gloves and good luck.

Answer Hello Roy. Test the thermostat and see if ti opens. If not, you will need to replace it. If so, and the dryer continues to heat, the heater is shorted to ground and you will need to replace the heater. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Answer Hello Jim. You will need to remove the lint chute assembly from the dryer and see if anything has got stuck inside it. There should not be any type of interlock inside the chute. Hope this helps.
