Answer Hello Kim, With the spanner nut removed, push back and forth on the very top of the inner tub. Alternate back and forth and you may also need to rotate the inner tub to apply the pressure to different directions. This should loosen its' hold on the drive block and the inner tub should lift right out.

Answer Don, The "lock" clip, is used to position and hold the filter under the tub in position on the drivr block. You can pretty much remove it using a screwdriver, or you could cut it off, (if the filter is even there), but that still shouldn't affect the removal of the drive block. We'll be sending you some additional informatio, that should give you a better idea of how things work and are dismantled.
