My disposal started w/o a problem, it was just hard to turn it off w/o a lot of fiddeling around. Now it won't start at all! Would it be helpful to replace the lock stop for $70.00?????

Unit starts o.k. Won't stop without lots of fiddling the switch handle in and out. Handle itself is o.k. by appearance. Replace whole disposal?

Answer Hello Mel. You can try to clean the disposal to make sure the contacts are clean inside it. If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the lock-stop 4211474. Hope this helps.
