How to I gain access to the innards. How does the top come off?
Jdizzle for Model Number HYG3460AWW
Answer Jdizzle, Once you remove the power from the dryer, and turn off the gas supply at the wall, You'll need a putty knife or similar tool, and insert the end into the seam between the top and front panel, approximately three(3) inches in from the corner, and press in on the hidden spring clip, and lift up on the corner of the top. Once you've released the top and lifted it up and placed it agaist the wall, you'll need to disconnect the door switch wires, and remove the two 1/4 in hex head screws holding the interior front panel to the side cabinet flange. They are approximately five(5) inches down from the top of the front panel on the interior sides of the panel. Pull the front panel top out towards you until the panel disengages the drum, and then lift up and away from the cabinet. You can remove the tumbler for easier access to the internal components, if you wish. Thanks
