I am trying to find a conversion kit for changing my whirlpool stovetop and oven from propane to natural gas. What parts do I need?
There is not a kit for converting the unit back to natural gas. The orifices that you would need have been discontinued by the manufacturer with no replacement.
I bought the LP conversion kit and changed the top burner orifices out. I am still unclear on what needs to be done with the oven.
Answer Stephen, The model number you supplied is incorrect or is a partial model number. In most cases, Whirlpool Gas Ranges have adjustable bake and broil orifice(s). " Oven burner: Use 1/2" combination wrench to loosen the orifice hood away from pin (approximately 2 to 2-1/2 turns). The burner flame cannot be properly adjusted if this conversion is not made." It's not necessary to remove the burner assembly, in most cases and remember to open the air shutter on the burner full open, then fine tune the fuel air mixture until you have a double blue flame on all the openings.
The coverstion kit # from nat. gas to LP and do I have to change any other part such as burners?
Answer Hello Fred! To convert your unit to LP you'll need to order LP conversion kit part number W10032010. This kit will include the four orifices for the top burners and the orifice for the oven burner. Flip the pin on the regulator to LP. Thanks.
