Ng to LP conversion...I converted the range top with the spuds on back of stove and now need to convert broiler and bake...do I need a kit and which kit is it?
The orifices on the oven bake and broil will need to be tightened all the way down and close off the air shutters. This is the way to convert them to LP. You may have to make minor adjustments to get the flames blue on the air shutter.
I am trying to find a conversion kit for changing my whirlpool stovetop and oven from propane to natural gas. What parts do I need?
There is not a kit for converting the unit back to natural gas. The orifices that you would need have been discontinued by the manufacturer with no replacement.
I bought the LP conversion kit and changed the top burner orifices out. I am still unclear on what needs to be done with the oven.
Answer Stephen, The model number you supplied is incorrect or is a partial model number. In most cases, Whirlpool Gas Ranges have adjustable bake and broil orifice(s). " Oven burner: Use 1/2" combination wrench to loosen the orifice hood away from pin (approximately 2 to 2-1/2 turns). The burner flame cannot be properly adjusted if this conversion is not made." It's not necessary to remove the burner assembly, in most cases and remember to open the air shutter on the burner full open, then fine tune the fuel air mixture until you have a double blue flame on all the openings.
