The tub on my washing machine is really loose and moves around in the spin cycle so much that when it fills for rinse cycle the water goes over the top of it and on the floor.What would I look at for this problem? Thanks

Answer Scott, You will want to check to make sure that if it is the inner tub, check the spanner nut for being cracked or loose. If it is loose try to tighten and if it will not tighten then you may need a new spanner nut.

Wife was washing clothes when the washer got to the rinse and spin cycle washer is making a thumping noise and shaking to much. I have took the cover off, all the springs are in place and appear to be good shape including the one on the rear panel. The 3 plastic pieces over the legs are intact and seems to be in good shape and there are 3 white plastic or teflon pieces the tub sets on they are in good shape. The washer has been there for several years and has not been moved and it is level. I checked the self leveling legs on the back they will move and I picked it up and dropped it back down the washer is level. Does the tub on this washer have a solution in it?? If it does That is probably my problem! When the wife told me the washer was tearing up, I did see a little water or wetness behind it but after I took it apart there is no sign of a leaking hose or anywhere for water to come from,I was reading another article about some tubs having a balancing solution in them . Please help Thanks

Answer Hello Stan, The tubs themselves do not have a balancing solution in them but the tub cover does. If the tub cover W10445870 solution leaks out then the unit will get off balance.

I have a crack in the bottom of the outer tub. Is there a glue I can use to fix the crack until I can get a new washer? The $180 and complexity to change this part does not seem worth it.

Answer Hello Jackie, Unfortunately, there is a strong chemical reaction produced from the detergent and any glue you use to do a repair will be deteriorated by this chemical reaction. Since there is no glue, adhesive, or compound that has been found that will produce favorable results, the only option is to replace the outer tub 3361596.

Answer Hello Darleen, The spanner nut is standard right handed threads so you would turn it counterclockwise to remove it. I have used a punch and a hammer to remove it, but you have to be terribly careful not to hit the porcelain tub so the porcelain doesn't get chipped off. If it does, it will snag clothes and eventually rust and stain clothes.

The outer tub has that little side mount whatever it is that water gets into I lost the tubing that connects to it, and I don't see an item for it. Can you help me out?
