The oven will not shut off when the button is pressed although all other buttons work. I assume we need to replace the switch membrane. Does this require just pulling off the old one and sticking on the new one or removing the control panel? Exactly what will I have to do to replace the switch membrane? Thanks!

Several of the control buttons suddenly stopped working. Can the membrane switch on the oven's control panel be replaced? My oven is white and I understand only black control panel assemblies are available. If so, what is the membrane part number. Thank you.

This is my third switch membrane replacement for my Kitchenaid oven since 2005. The most recent one lasted only 2 years. All was due to OFF switch stops working. Is there a way to prolong the life of this defective product design?

I will have to replace the membrane switch (oven won't turn off). Will you please give me detailed instructions? I understand that I will need to peel off the old membrane, but will I have to remove the entire control panel, which would mean pulling the range out to get to the end caps, etc?

When I plug the stove in, error code AM71-U173 EEK GO-092 comes up. I set the time on the stove, the oven comes on, starts to preheat, and then suddenly turns off after about 30 seconds. The burners all work on the top, the ignitors work in the oven on broil, but the oven just turns off. Is it the switch membrane, or do you think it could be the gas valve? I was told it could be the touch pad malfunctioning.
