The Front RHS burner( most used) Ignitor, chronically, continues to spark after gas igniting . Is this a problem with the ignitor module?
How does the unit sense the gas is alight, or flamed out?
With the unit continuing to spark after the burner has lit the issue would be caused by a faulty reignition module. The way that the unit senses the flame on or off is that the gas ionizes the air between the igniter and cap. When this happens it blocks the igniter from being able to spark by opening the circuit for the igniter. When the flame goes out but should not be then it allows the igniter circuit to close and allow spark.
All of the burner's ignition are not working after boiled water spilled. Can you help?
Answer Hi Peter. You may need the ignition module part # is 73001323. Try to clean all individual burner caps with a small wire brush where the spark path to ground will be clean. It may be filled with boil over and need every burner to be cleaned at the ports with a small pick tool or a safety pin. The ignitors are part # 73001551. Thank you.
