All switches are off yet one burner sparks intermittenly....once every 10 minutes or so. The spark module (P/N" AP4358277) was replaced 10 months ago and has worked well up till now.
You will want to check the continuity of the burner switches when they are in the off position. If any one of them have continuity then the part is bad and would need to be replaced.
All the igniters continue to spack after one burner is on. It's an intermittent problem. What can be the cause?
Answer Yonel, Since this is an intermittent problem, check and make sure you have a polarized, grounded 120 VAC outlet that the power cord is plugged into. It's most likely an issue with the spark module, like you guessed, but, it could also be a faulty igniter switch on the burner gas valve. Good Luck
Igniter continues to spark after burner switch is off.
Answer Hello Ali. Check and make sure all the burners are clean and dry and there is a good clean surface for the igniter to ground when lit. If so, you will need to replace the spark module 8286828 in the unit.
