Dryer stopped working. Sensor light is on. Cannot advance. Is this a sensor? and if so, what one? Also, it seems to take a long time to dry. Works best on timed dry. Any suggestions on this?

The sensor light is for when the unit is sensing the clothes drying. The sensor bars can be cleaned by using rubbing alcohol on them. You will also want to check your venting to make sure that the venting from the blower all the way to the outside of home is clear. If clogged then the unit will not dry properly.
I am working on a whirlpool dryer,the control come on but the unit does't run and the

Answer MM, Are you sure you have 220-240 VAC at the outlet and the terminal block of the dryer ? If all's OK, you'll need to check the thermal fuse, Wiring, and belt switch. If the fuse, switch, or blue wiere are open, the power to the motor is eliminated and the dryer won't start or run. What is the indications when is time to replace the Moisture sensors? Is it a good idea to replace both, in this particular model I can see it takes two white metal curb stripes. Thank You!

Answer Hello Mr. J. The only time the moisture sensor would have to be replaced is when one gets damaged. Even if they get coated with softener film they can be cleaned with a clean cotton cloth and rubbing alcohol. In case they were to be in need of replacement, the part number is 3387223. Be aware, since the part is illustrated with only one, if both need replacement, you will need to order two. I hope this helps you out!
