Hi, The ice machine makes a noise when the lever is pushed but does not dispense ice. I took the motor out and got it to turn the shaft but when I reinstall it , the augar will not turn when lever is pressed. What is next?

Answer Hello Kip,
You will want to pull the 2 screws on the auger coupler on the door and make sure that the coupler is not frozen in place. This will cause no engagement of the ice bucket. There is a spring under the coupling that should push it up but it can collect ice around it and cause it to freeze to shaft.
How do you access the motor? The other descriptions on how to do this to not seem to apply to this refrigerator.

Answer Hello Stephen,
Open the freezer door and squat down where you can look up underneath the extrusion above the third freezer door shelf. There is an access door which is held in place by two screws. Removing these two screws allow access to the auger motor.
