Hello. I have a similar problem as others with refrigerator side warm and freezer cold. While I was troubleshooting (before reading this web site), I noticed the condenser fan was not running but would start with a little help. My question is would the condenser fan malfunction contribute to the warm refrigerator symptom?

Answer Hello Bill,
Yes the condensor fan being none operational could cause warmer temps in freezer and Refrigerator. What happens is the fan not pulling the air across the compressor will cause the compressor to overheat and shut down. This can also cause the evaporator to develop ice on them causing air restriction.
We got the fan and it fixed the problem. Now the ice makers keeps freezing up and no ice. We have taken the tray out and unfroze it, it works 3 or 4 days ans freezes up again?

Answer Hi Linda. Inside the ice maker on the back lt. side of the front controls, there is a thermostat that has to close at approx. 14° as it senses the ice has frozen in the ice maker tray. When it does then it allows for approx. 6-seconds of heater application just enough to get the I/M motor to turn and eject the cubes normally. Then it will rotate the ejector blades . Then it calls for approx. 6-7 seconds of timed water fill. Over and over. Now consider all the usage of water / ice frozen with contaminants such as calcium it , builds up and after time it stops the process of ejection even with heat. So with all this being said, you can buy individual parts or consider the whole ice maker part # D7824706Q since it has lasted this long under constant usage. Thank You.
The side of the refridgerater is hot on freezer side and around the door on refridgerator side beside ice & water dispenser, we need a part # for fan.

Answer Hello Linda. Check and see if the fan is running, and make sure the coils are clean. If the fan is bad, you will need to order and replace part number 61005323 for the condenser fan motor. Hope this helps.
