Door lock light not lit and spin cycle not working. Everything else seems to function fine. Is it the wax motor?
You will want to check the control board in the console to make sure that the R11 resistor is not burnt. If this is the case then you would need to replace the wax motor 22002119 and the control board 22002989.
Hi, just got home from a vacation and the spin cycle tries to spin, but all the clothes are wet.
I was told that I need to replace the control board. Would the motor control assembly board be the part I need?
Answer Dan, For your description you want to make sure the door is locked. The spin enable switch 22002162 has a "closed" circuit when the door is locked (the switch farthest to the right on the door lock assembly under the top) Then check the off balance switches and wiring 22003302 and 22002044 located on the front of the tub at the 1, 3 and 6 o'clock positions. If any of these switches have an "open" circuit or a loose or broken wire, the washer will not spin. If all's OK, then consider the machine control board 22004325 located up inside the dryer cabinet.
