Water is not draining out of tub after the rinse cycle. I disassembled the pump and it appears to be OK, turns freely & is not leaking. I removed the drive motor to check the coupling and the coupling is in excellent shape. The tub agitates and spins, the water just isn't draining completely, although some of it does. Is this an electrical problem, such as the motor's not getting a signal to turn the pump, or what? Thanks for any answers or recommendations you might have.
Answer Bob, Based on your post description, You'll need to disconnect the tub to pump hose 285871 and check for an article stuck in the hose or the tub outlet opening. Check and make sure the drain hose from the pump to the drain pipe is not clogged or kinked, and is not too far down inside the drain pipe. We wouldn't expect the drive motor to be the issue, since it fills, washes partially drains enough the spin. If all's OK, start by replacing the pump 3363394, it may have a loose impeller or a bearing that seizes up. Thanks
I forgot to mention i replaced the transmission. From last question and answer
Answer Andy, With everything you've replaced, if there's still an issue with the spin basket, it has to be the clutch 8299642 brake/spin tube issue 285792 . Here's some help from the APP Repair Forum [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/washer-repair/3265-replacing-direct-drive-washer-brake-shoes.html] it should be helpful. Good Luck and Thanks
