i have a maytag microwave the turntable will not turn, i just realized that the roung plasitc ring was not under the glass plate. however the black cupler will not turn at all please help me how difficult will it be to repair this my self? are there instructions on the parts?

Answer Deb, The turntable motor DE31-10172A does not come with instructions, So here you go:" Turntable Motor Removal 1. Disconnect power to oven. 2. Remove screws securing bottom plate cover.3. Open the oven door, remove turntable, and gently pry upward on turntable shaft.
4. Disconnect wire leads from turntable motor.5. Remove screws securing turntable to the oven cavity. 6. Replace and reassemble in reverse order." As you can see it's not a major repair, you should be able to handle it easily. Good Luck and Thanks

Answer Hello Mark. If the turntable coupler DE67-00213A isn't cracked or broken, the turn table motor DE31-10173A has an internal gear stripped. Hope this helped!
