washer MAH8700AWW making a loud whining noise on spin cycle that gets louder as RPM's increase. I replaced entire rear outer tub thinking it was the bearings. Put back together and still get loud noise. Took belt off and ran washer on spin cycle. The noise seems to be coming from the motor. All videos I watched on internet said the whining noise would be the tub bearings. I was only going to replace the bearings however, we discovered a crack in outer rear tub when we disassembled it, so we replace entire rear. How can I be sure the noise is the motor now? I have already invested 220.00 in one repair. I read to test the voltage in motor, however if it is a voltage switch I think my model requires the whole motor to be replaced. Is this correct?

My washer can't go through a complete cycle without getting hung up with an E3 alarm. When I try to restart the washer, I hear a humming noise 3-4 times like the motor is trying to turn - then it locks up again with an E3 alarm. I ordered and replaced the motor, thinking the problem was caused by a failing sensor. However, the problem still exists. Would you recommend that I replace the control board? If so, please let me know the specific control board I should order. The serial number of my unit is 10303152GE. Thanks.

I have a 2005 maytag neptune washer, everyone keeps talking about a e3 code but my washer is displaying a 3E code is it the same thing..???? When I look it up in the manual E3 it says motor not control board. Washer will wash but throws the code when trying to spin to rinse.. Also will throw code when rinse and spin cycle only.. but will spin on spin only. Do you think replacing motor will do the trick or should I just get a new washer? Please help I called a service dept they came out and charged me $109 to walk in and say its broken what a crock they didnt even test it or try to fix it. I had to cancel the check and what a headache... Please help.

The washer was on spin dry and I heard a noise, then it sounded like a violent unbalanced load at which point I pushed the off button. I have disassembled the washer and have not found any debris or broken pieces. All rotational items spin freely without noise. When I test the function on an empty spin cycle, the signal goes to the motor, but it does not rotate and makes a noise like a "bad relay". I cannot see anything that looks like a relay. The control board test from the manual that comes with the washer says that the control board is good. I cannot remove the connector from the motor to test the resistance directly. I cannot separate the connectors from the motor to the control board. How do those separate; where is the lock to separate these connectors?
