Most Interesting

I have a KitchenAid Trash Compactor KUCC151LSS0. When the plunger returns to the top it makes loud and hard thumping noises. Sometimes it stops after 5 or 6 thumps, other times I have to open the the door to make it stop but if I close the door without switching it off it will start all over. I have replaced the upper limit switch but it continues to act the same way. Some times it will work correctly but lately not Thanks Gino

When I start a cycle the ram will go all the way down and continue running but won't return. When I turn the start switch off and restart and the ram returns and stops properly.

Latest Questions

The unit oscillates up and down at the top of the travel. It looks like it doesn't shut off. I tested the limit switch for continuity with the wires removed and all blades tested fine. The Tech sheet said that the motor centrifugal contacts were fused or that the tilt switch is on. I looked at the parts sheet and could see no replacement parts for either of these switches. Do you have a part number suggestion?

The motor I am looking to replace is a 9870343. This is not listed as a cross reference on your web page on the motor that comes up on your site when I search that part number. Will this motor work?

The unit was working fine. I pushed the start button and the ram bottomed out but when it should have returned, the motor started to hum. I pressed the stop button and the motor stopped humming. Pressed start button again and motor hummed. I manually returned ram to top position (chain drive assy. is free and motor turns free) and pressed start again. Unit did not start, motor just hums. Do I need a new motor or directional switch or both. The P/N on the motor is 776828 and the number on the switch is GE 3ASM9A1B4? I found a replacement number for the motor which includes the switch which is W10439651. What will need to be done to retrofit this unit if indeed it is the only replacement?
