Hi...I just purchased, from appliancepartspros.com, a new clutch and motor coupling. I replaced them both and the washer is working fine but when I was replacing them, I saw that the heart of the problem appears to be a worn motor shaft that is loosing its shape and not holding on to the coupling that well (leave a little wiggle room)...instead of replacing the entire motor, anyway to replace just the shaft or any other ideas short of an entire motor replacement?...thanks for your help!

Washer fills, wash cycle starts, grinding sound in both directions. Agitator does not make complete motion.

Initial issue was loud banging at end of spin cycle. I replaced basket drive/drive block because they were bad. After reassembling, the washer now fills fine but trips the breaker as soon as it gets to the agitate cycle or if I set it to any cycle that uses the motor. The motor never starts up, it trips immediately. I took motor/transmission off and connected everything to see if it would try to run and it trips breaker immediately. Had no other known issues with motor/tripping breaker in the past. I think it's the motor, but I don't want to replace the motor if it's an electrical/wire issue. May have gotten a little water from the hose on some components. I have a multimeter. How do I determine if the issue is a bad motor or something else? Could the motor have been damaged from water? Thank you.

My Whirlpool washer spins good but when goes into rinse cycle the motor clicks on and off and the tub jerks. It does this on normal and delicate side too. Is it the motor or could it be in the timer?

Our washer fills up but will not work or pump the water. I removed the pump and I can spin the motor by hand. When turned on I can hear a humming noise. Timer was replaced about 18 months ago. I thank You in advance for Your help.

My Whirlpool washer blew a capacitor, I replaced the cap and the washer seems to work fine except it still smells like something is electrical burning on the spin cycle. Could it be just the motor?
