I have a model CGM2761KQ1, I have ordered this part for my washer, everything mounts up correctly, the wiring appears to be the same, but my washer still will not start, when I have the old motor in there it still works moderately, but the new one will not start up at all. What could be the issue?

Answer Hello Able. If the belt switch on the dryer is not engaged, it will cause some problems with the unit. Check and make sure the belt switch reads that the belt is on, so the motor W10438970 will run. Also, read the sheet sent with the motor and make sure you are wiring it correctly. If one wire is off, it will not run properly. Hope this helps.

Good morning,
I am having trouble getting to the motor. I tried removing the blower wheel but was unable to. Whenever I tried to spin it off, the whole shaft moved along with it. How can I spin off the blower wheel and keep the shaft from spinning with it?

Answer Hello Steve. You will need to remove the drum assembly to access the front of the motor W10438970. Once the drum is removed, you will attach a wrench to the pulley end of the shaft and use a wrench to unscrew the blower wheel. Hope this helps.

Hello,
How do I remove/replace the motor-drive? I tried to remove the blower wheel from the front but was unable to. Thank you for your help.

Answer Hello Steve. You to remove the motor, you will need to unplug the wires going to it. Then unscrew the blower wheel from the motor shaft. Once removed, you will remove the clips holding the motor W10438970 in place. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.
