My Neptune dryer won't run. Only niose it makes are the relays when the start button is pushed. I've checked the thermostats and they seem fine. I've been trying to find a wiring schematic but have been unsuccessful. But in looking I noticed a switch behind the motor on the parts breakdown, what does that switch do and how can I test the motor, before I go out and purchase one.

Answer Lloyd, That switch would be the belt switch 35001082 you would want to check the wires and the switch for a "closed" circuit with the belt installed and the idler arm pressing on the actuator lever. There is a thermal cut off 35001193 located on the burner assembly. If the dryer temperature exceeds the limit of the cut off, the fuse "opens" and the dryer won't start or run, until the fuse is replaced. If you had supplied an e mail address, we probably could make arrangements to direct you to the information you needed.
how to test owms on the motor?
Carlos for Model Number mde9700ayw
Answer Carlos, you will need a multi meter TJMA-DMT3 With the meter set at the lowest resistance reading, and the wires removed pins 3 to 4 should have a resistance of 2.8 ohms, an pins 4 to 5 should have 3.5 ohms resistance(+/-10%). We're sending you some additional information, it should be very helpful. Thanks and Good Luck
