Would this correct a consistent high pitched noise? I have whirlpool freezer model # ev170nyls00. The noise is consistent even when opening the door or shaking the unit. Nothing stops it other than unplugging it or when the compressor shuts off. Thanks!

My problem is the same as Mark S's problem. I need a new evaperator fan motor but the fan motor on my freezer doesn't look like the motor AP5178619. Is there a different motor for my freezer model?

The refrigerator was only cold at the bottom and after pulling off the panel and exposing the coil noticed it was iced up and the fan was not spinning. Tapped the fan blade and the fan spun and seemed to cool properly. Can the evaporator motor freeze up causing the fan not to spin until it is tapped or spun by hand? If so is part AP5178619 the only part that needs to be replaced?
