A NEW EVAPORATOR FAN MOTOR WAS INSTALLED ON OUR AMANA SIDE BY SIDE REFRIGERATOR, BUT THE FAN BLADE WILL NOT ROTATE. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?RECONNECTING THE WIRES STILL DID NOT HELP. THE FREEZER SECTION IS GETTING COLD AT THE BOTTOM, BUT WE STILL CANNOT GET THE BLADES TURNING. THANKS!

Answer Gloria, If you have the typical Amana refrigerator, you will need to circuity check the wiring to the defrost heater and defrost thermostat. the circuit to the evaporator fan is completed through these two components and wiring. Also the defrost thermostat must have a closed circuit, in order to allow the fan motor to run, you may want to bypass the thermostat(attach the two wires together) and see if the fan motor runs.
