Greetings - I came home to water on my laundry room floor after a completed wash cycle and am trying to troubleshoot. Supply lines are braided and were replaced in April, no water at either end. Discharge tube seems to be in good shape with no cracks, kinks, and clear j-box in wall. Felt insulation on bottom of washer was soaked and dripping water when turned washer on side to look. Didn't see cracks in hoses with quick visual inspection. I ran a test cycle with two towels, water shuts off at proper level, agitation, draining, rinse, spin all occur. During this process I can detect an odor of what I describe as something burning, like my old slot cars after too many laps. Machine makes noises but nothing beyond normal operating noises that I know of. I was not able to look for leaks while cycle was in process so this is all I have to work with. Machine purchased brand new in December 2013. My thoughts are in no particular order: tub seal, pump, bearing, motor. Not sure about motor and bearing though since agitation, spin, etc appear to be working, but the odor points to that. Odor occurs during spin. Any and all help would be appreciated. Sorry for the long question, tried to lay it out as clear as possible. Thanks, Dan

I replaced a broken coupler a week ago and after about 3 wash cycles, a strong burning smell is apparent at the end of the spin cycle. Since there are no belts, I'm wondering if this is a motor, pump or something else? Everything still works: pump, drain and spin, but I would like to know what is most likely cause of the smell. Thank you.
