I see three slots for tension springs on the motor mount. There are only two springs. Should there be three springs? Is there any way to adjust belt tension as the mount seems to be back all the way and the belts are loose. Belts are 17 years old...so probably due. Thanks

The plate where the legs for balancing the washer is stripped. What do I need to replace it?

Motor shaft is hitting the inside of its slot when the washer goes into a spin cycle. The belts are both falling apart so I know they need replaced and the springs look fine. Coudl the square bushings be bad? Or the whole mount. Is there a stop to keep it from going to far forward?

Latest Questions

After the washer finishes its cycle, the clothes are not very dry. When I look at the 2 belts on the bottom of the washer, they are both very loose. I don't know how tight the belts should be. The spring-loaded motor rides freely on its housing but the strength of the 2 springs don't seem strong enough to tighten the belts and I suspect the belts are slipping. (There seems to be a place for a third spring within the slide mechanism under the motor.) Should there be a third spring? The belts seem to be in good condition but the "V" sides are shiny. Could the belts be stretched out? Could my problem be solved by just buying 2 new belts?
