I just replaced the Motor Pump and whole bottom unit of the machine. It has no leaks and has been double checked for any errors in installation. When I start the machine it goes into wash cycle for about 15 seconds and then shuts off. It is as if I am getting some kind of over ride switch to shut it down. I can move it to Medium wash it starts up again and then shuts down. Any reason or what switch is causing the stopping? I know it is not the door switch.
Answer Hello Ryan,
This sounds like the overload built into the motor is tripping. The only thing that will cause this is excessive current flow. For this reason, you should look for a poor electrical connection. I would start at the breaker since the connections start in there. Since the motor has been changed, there is a very low possibility of a winding issue and you most likely remove d the unit from its' installation to complete the repair so the wire nuts I the electrical connection box behind the kick panel would have been removed and re-connected so it would not be an issue. If you did not disconnect these wire nuts, they will be the most likely cause.
