Do I need to replace the motor shaft slinger when I replace the pump base?

Answer Dale, As long s you don't damage or break it, you won't need to replace the slinger. The purpose of the slinger, is to keep water out of the motor windings, should the impeller seal leak. Thanks and Good Luck
