Washer starts in a full agitation mode, before it starts filling. Also clothes are wet at the end of washing cycle and you have to put machine on a spin cycle so they are not dripping. Timer has been replaced, had no effect. Any help would be appreciated. David

Hi..I replaced the timer on my washer a few months ago because the washer had completely stopped working. Replacing the timer got my washer working again for the most part except my washer's spin cycle has not worked at all since. The problem is that once the wash cycle is over I always have to open and close the lid to start the spin cycle and the lid switch checks out fine. What else do I need to check?

After a complete wash cycle, the clothes comes out soaking wet. When I manually turned the timer to high spin, the spin speed seems very low to me. Is there a centrifugal switch in the circuit to increase the speed to high? All I can find for replacement parts is a motor switch 8529896. Does this control the speed or is it just a motor starting switch?
