Hi, Is it possible to change the 110v motor with a 220v motor so that I can use my kitchenaid mixer in europe ? Do I need to change anything else (speed controller) ? If not, do you think there will be a problem by using a transformer from 110v to 220v. My main issue is the difference in Hz. US is on 60Hz EU is on 50Hz.

The worm gear in my 6qt KitchenAid mixer stripped out.The 8 teeth on the original motor shaft won't work with the up dated gears. I have recieved the new motor with 10 teeth on the shaft part #W10247536 only to find out it does not fit into the mixer housing because of the larger black plastic rear support on the motor. Is this the correct part #? Can you help with a fix? Thx

I replaced the motor on my mixer with part AP4588329. I plugged the connectors into the circuit board using slots 1&3 as with the old motor. The problem is that when I start up the mixer it immediately goes to max speed. Any ideas?
