I just received the new part. As I see it (correct me if i'm wrong please), the old part was held in place with a screw and cap mounted topside of the rack.The new one holds itself by snapping onto the rack underside. This is all good except the angle of the spout (underside) veers to the left so it mounts the spray arm at an angle. I tried snapping it into place at 90 degrees but due to the rack design that can't work. Is this how it's supposed to be? Thanks in advance

Answer Hi Terry. Suggested model # GU940SCGB2, Mount Assembly for Upper Spray Arm - PLEASE NOTE: Shaft is angled to match the bottom side of rack and mounts directly to the rack. On older design models the upper mount part number 8268812 will no longer be used. Item Number: 8539324 . Thank You.

i have a part#8268844 its been replaced withpt.#8539324 this part does not work on this dishwasher upper sprayarm hits bottom of upper dishrack.the nipple on mounted tier needs to be longer. how can i solve this problem?also the nipple has to be able to accept screw pt.#3400031 which probably needs to be longer also. thanks, bill sweeney

Answer Bill, We believe you have inadvertently installed the new spray arm mount incorrectly. "- PLEASE NOTE: Shaft is angled to match the bottom side of rack and mounts directly to the rack. On older design models part number 8268812 will no longer be used. " Try removing the old top spray arm mount, and attach the new part directly to the rack tines. Thanks and Good Luck

Answer Hello Jude. You will no longer use the upper mount 8268812 in the unit. If needed, you may need to order teh spray arm kit. Hope this helps.
