The input shaft on the washers transmission is rounded off. The motor couple should have broke before destroying the shaft. The transmission is no longer available is this something that can be fixed by replacing the input shaft? If so any ideas on where to find one or an idea on part number lookups?

My Maytag washer works fine except for when it is done spinning it makes a knocking sound for a few seconds until the drum stops spinning. It does the same thing if you lift the lid while it is spinning. It agitates and spins normally. It also appears that the tub moves up and down slightly while it is making this noise. Can you make a best guess at what is causing this to occur? Parts to replace? Thanks

On the last cycle it leaves some water in tub. I replaced the clutch and motor coupler.

Hello, My washer won't spin. I removed the transmission and opened the gear box. I found that on the Neutral Drain parts, one of the plastic pieces (I think its called the trigger lever) is supposed to have a small spring on it, mine does not. Would this prevent the washer from spinning? Thanks

I have another question about the washer. It agitates when it goes into the spin cycle. I took the gear case apart and there is nothing that I can see wrong with the gears or shaft. What does the neutral drain switch do inside the gear case? Is this what causes the machine to go from drain to spin to wash etc? Thanks Don
