Answer Remove the pump from the machine and see if it will spin out with the pump off. If so you will need to replace the pump.

Answer Hello Bernard. You will need to check and see if the lid switch is bad and needs to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Answer Monty, The noise is most likely the Drive Block 389140 "slipping" on the Spin tube tabs 64208. You may or may not need the spin tube, depending on whether the tabs are or are not damaged. The video attached to 389140 will be quite helpful.

Answer Hello Mike. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the transmission is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.

Answer Ken, It's most likely a timer contact issue 3955734, capacitors either work or don't work, they normally don't go "weak". Since the washer works (motor runs) it's not likely the motor, coupler or transmission, at this point.

Answer John, If there is play in the motor shaft, you will want to pull the motor and see if the motor spins freely. It sounds more like a motor issue but if the motor is spinning freely then it is not seized. At that point you would want to check to make sure that the transmission gear is turning. Once direction it should turn freely and the other it should meet resistance and possibly stop.
