My dish washer sounds like its making all the right noises ,except all the swooshing,the dishes are not coming clean and when I open the door(very quickly)it seems the water is coming out of the "nozzle jump up" and NOT the spray arm ....can you help ?? any thoughts as to what could be causing this ??

The dishes on the top rack are not getting clean or rinsing very well, even the soap dispenser does not get all the soap rinsed out of it. My husband removed the lower arm and the wash arm cap is broken. Could this be the problem.

The above response to Dennis details how to remove the Nozzle jump up. I am trying to put mine back in but it does not seem tight. the long 'arm" on the bottom - is that suppose to go into something in particular? Should this nozzle be loose? I do no recall it seeming loose when I removed it.
