Dishwasher wil lnot pump out. How do I remove the outlet cap/cover??
Answer Larry, I guess you want to remove the pump cover and associated parts ? You'll need to remove both racks, remove the large plastic nut in the center of the lower spray arm, you can then remove the arm cover cap and nozzle. You will then need to remove the 1/4 inch screws holding the pump body cover, and lift the cover uop and out. Remove the thumbscrew from the center of the support arm, and lift the flush arm assembly out, then remove the mesh filter. Remove the bolts holding the pressure dome to the pump housing body and lift it out, you'll need to remove the screwin the center holding the impeller to the motor shaft and lift it up and out, you can then lift the remainder of the filter plate chopper blade etc., out of the pump body. I don't think you'll find a problem in the pump housing, unless you had a lot of chopping or chatterring noises before the unit stopped draining. I would start by disconnecting the drain hose at the disposal or air gap and drain the water into a bucket or blow in the end of the drain hose until you can hear the air escape in the tub. Good Luck,
